A few days after Christmas we were hanging out in the family room, and Aiden kept looking up the chimney. With an intrigued look on his face he asked, "Daddy, what is that metal thing up there?" Danny explains that it is the damper and we open it when the fireplace is on. Then Aiden says with all seriousness, "and open it on Christmas so when Santa comes he doesn't scratch his bottom on it."
Aiden has a stuffed animal puppy that he has been sleeping with frequently. He recently named the puppy, Dr. Puppy. When we asked why his name is Dr. Puppy, Aiden replied, "because he makes everything better!" Awwww, so sweet.
When Danny gets home from work he will often empty out the change in his pockets and give it to Aiden. Kids love money.....Aiden runs off and it goes straight into his piggy bank. A few weeks ago, Danny did his usual routine and had more change then normal and Aiden repplies, "geeze Dad, how much did you work?" Life is so simple through the eyes of a toddler. Thank God that Daddy made more than a pocket full of change that day.
Being home with Aiden has been a wonderful experience.... watching him grow, doing new things everyday, and WOW his ideas and imagination are out of this world! He always has a sweet little something to say! Needless to say, it.has.been.a.blast.!!! I'm looking forward to a summer full of fun and excitement!
